Budworms

budwormsThe terminology "Budworms" corresponds to the larvae of some noctuidae species that can be very destructive (H. armigera for example).

Under favourable conditions they pullulate and can cause severe damages. On tobacco, if egg-laying occurs by the end of June, budworms could be active till September.
