Grey mold

Grey moldGrey mold is caused by the fungus Botrytis cinerea.

Due to its rapid development in ideal environments, such as greenhouses, this pathogen can cause serious damages on tobacco seedlings in seedbed.

The disease is advantaged by humidity and relatively cool conditions, and the presence of cotyledons and senescent plant tissues. If the seedlings are infected, the plantation in the field is penalized, even not feasible.
