TOBACCO ZERO WASTE TRAIL, SPAIN 2015

DELTAFINA SPAIN and IBERTABACO, S.C. decided to sign a relationship with FRABELSE to carry out  a trail in 2015 season, in order to study the viability and the future prospects of the tobacco crop using only organic products as fertilizers and CPA, regarding to achieve tobacco free of chemical residues and also Nitrate-free.

AERET countries

Four tobacco types are mainly cultivated in AERET countries: flue-cured, Burley, dark air-cured and fire-cured.

The main pests affecting tobacco leaf production in AERET countries are aphids, soil pests in southern countries and trips in central Europe countries.

Blue mold is a major problem in 5 out of the 9 countries composing AERET.
